Help
Greetings! Thank you for your interest in the University of Saint Joseph, Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Program. The USJ MFT Program is accredited by COAMFTE and meets all criteria for MFT licensure in Connecticut, so we boast a high employment rate for MFT graduates in a variety of settings. We have many features that define our program including accessible academic advisors to guide you through the program, exceptional faculty members who are active practitioners and scholars in the field, and several special topics courses to pursue your specific area of interest (e.g., Child and Play Therapy, Medical Family Therapy, Advanced Research Study).

The MFT Program at USJ is geared toward evidence-based practice that is grounded in clinical and relational theory. Our program outcome goals are to prepare competent practitioners and active scholars by providing students with solid core knowledge about MFT. Advanced courses build on this core knowledge with the most up-to-date approaches to therapy with individuals, couples, and families. USJ students are also active in CTAMFT, including annual conference volunteers, research poster presenters, and scholarship/award recipients.

I invite you to email or call me to receive further information about our program, upcoming information sessions or to talk with a current MFT student. As you are considering the USJ MFT Program to pursue you graduate studies, you may find these additional resources to be helpful:
