The alternative break experience offers students week-long opportunities for service and reflection during semester breaks. the objectives of this program are to involve the students in community based-agencies/programs and to give them opportunities to learn about issues/problems faced by the people served by the agencies/programs.

 
Examples of break experiences students have participated with include working on an Indian Reservation in northern Maine and building homes for Habitat for Humanity in Virgina, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Texas.
