Traveling to West Hartford Center
U-Pass has established new evening trips that will begin running on Monday, August 27 with trips departing downtown at the following times: 7:15 p.m., 8:20 p.m., 9:25 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. (weeknights).
Traveling to New York City
U-Pass provides a relatively inexpensive way to travel to NYC.

- Who is eligible?
The U-Pass is available to full-time undergraduate students at USJ.
- For how long is the pass effective?
The fall 2018 semester U-Pass covers August 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018.
The fall 2018 semester U-Pass covers Jan 1, 2019 through July 31, 2018.
- What is the cost?
U-Passes are free- there is no cost to students.
- How do students get the U-Pass?
New students will be able to pick up their passes on Wednesday, August 22 during “week of welcome.” Returning students can pick up their pass from USJ’s Student Affair’s Office on Monday, August 27. After August 27, passes can be picked up in the Student Affair’s office, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- What is required for students to use pass and on what types of transportation can it be used?
Students must have a valid student ID to show along with their pass when using the transportation systems. Students can use their U-Pass throughout the semester to travel within the state of Connecticut, including CTtransit and CTfastrak, but excluding Amtrak.
- What happens if a student loses pass?
A student will receive only one replacement pass per semester for a cost of $20.
- How does the U-Pass work?
When you’re boarding the bus, simply show the driver your Student ID and insert the pass, with the arrow on the front pointing forward, into the pass reading machine. Once you hear the beep, you’re all set.
