I am delighted that you are interested in our online Graduate Program in Nutrition. Our program is specifically designed for the working professional interested in advancing their academic and applied expertise in nutrition as well as for the working professional interested in a career change.

Nutrition is a service profession hence embraces the university’s values through its commitment to individual and population health and diversity to provide compassionate service with academic excellence, respect, integrity and hospitality. The overall goal of the USJ online graduate program in nutrition is to provide nutrition professionals with advanced knowledge and skills in a wide range of nutrition areas such as pediatrics, critical care, oncology, health coaching, diabetes, communication, obesity and many more specialties. This program was initially designed for practicing registered dietitians and although it does not prepare students to become registered dietitians, it is complementary to many fields such as psychology, health education, biology, public health, nursing, public policy, wellness promotion, education, business and management.

The USJ Online Master’s Program in Nutrition is unique in its curriculum design because each student creates her/his own plan of study. There are only two course requirements, Research Methods and Independent Study taken at the end of the 30 credit program. Our program prepares professionals to serve as nutritionists, WIC counselors, dietetic consultants, food service managers, wellness coordinators, teachers (high school & college), nutrition/health/wellness writer, food science/nutrition researchers and pharmaceutical or food sales.
